Description
Responsibilities:
Responsible for a Partner product solution where you will provide technical services to external CBU partners. You will take overall project responsibilities within and ensure that all technical deliveries and issues are resolved successfully. You will work with CBU development team to modify technical and test specifications in order to integrate client into stacks and handset platforms. You will be required to understand GSM/GPRS protocols to support stack partners when integrating the client module. UMTS experience a plus. You will need to have a good understanding of RTOS coding methodology and have had experience in static as well as dynamic task model OSs. Verbal and written skills must be adequate to run through technical workshops / presentations as well as interface customer during initial phases of the project. You will be responsible for proposing, implementing, testing, and release of necessary vendor specific changes required to client code base.
Provide project and technical services to stack and/or handset partners.
Run technical workshops for partners, explaining how client integration methodology. UMA technology background, client, and test verification plans.
Modify and maintain Porting Guide and Test specifications document.
Help identify all tasks associated with a new integration program and create program schedule.
Port all modules of the client.
Work with Program Manager to track all open issues and execute to schedule.
Interface with CBU client development engineers to implement vendor specific changes within the context of a common source code base.
Participate in code reviews.
Participate in new GAN feature specification, development, coding, and test.
Work with QA, Test, and Customer Account teams to resolve software related issues with CPE units.

Requirements:
5+ years of development engineering experience in embedded software with at least two years of experience working with residential wireless CPE devices.
Excellent communication skills and ability to write clear specifications and procedures are required.
Experience in embedded system design and testing.
Experience in GSM/GPRS inter-layer communication primitives.
Good understanding of TCP/UDP/IP
Strong C programming skills including familiarity with a wide variety of software development tools and practical development methodologies especially for RTOS and
multi-threading applications.
Experience in UMTS stack a plus.
Experience in 802.11 air protocols a plus
Experience in VoIP protocols RTP/RTCP and VoIP a plus
