Summary

Responsible for the analysis, design and configuration of the SAP FI, CO and Purchasing Area to meet business needs. Works closely with the Global Finance community to deliver, maintain, troubleshoot and enhance SAP functionality. Add value to the SAP application and business through knowledge of the SAP modules and knowledge of its integration with other modules.
Key Accountabilities
  • Provides environment stability support globally, specialist level functional and configuration knowledge in designing SAP solutions in the FI (GL/AP/AR/FA/Banking), CO (CCA, PCA, and COPA), PS/Purchasing modules of SAP and SRM to meets business requirements.
  • Understands the business processes and how the application supports the business
  • Understands processes and applies this knowledge to best solve problems.
  • Understand configuration dependencies and interrelationships between separate functional modules of SAP.
  • Assists in user requirements gathering and conduct documentation designs.
  • Provides alternatives based on best practices and SAP functionality.
  • Develop functional specs.
  • May lead and coordinate the work of a small project team.

    Experience/Skills
    Mandatory Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, 5yrs of SAP experience and 2 years of Project Management.
  • Extensive financial process and functional knowledge.
  • Demonstrated project management or work scheduling experience
  • Cross SAP modules
  • At least two full life cycle SAP projects.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP FICO, especially in Fixed Asset and Banking functionality.
  • Configuration of Fixed Asset classes, Company Codes, InterCompany postings, AP AR modules, COPA, Purchasing, and GR/IR Maintenance.
  • Basic understanding of IDOCs and interfaces on bank software.
  • Enough ABAP development knowledge to provide specifications and perform testing.
    Desired
  • Knowledge of the procurement processes and technical skills in SAP SRM (Supplier Relationship Management)
  • Knowledge of integration between SAP R/3 and external systems via interfaces
  • Knowledge of Vertex application and VAT tax requirements
  • Experience in European, U.S. Asia-Pacific, South African business / statutory requirements
  • Product Costing experience
  • Prior implementation or support with Hyperion software (Consolidation)
