Need for operational support that goes above just producing reports, and includes experience working with business owners on the business drivers and proactively using analysis to drive business improvements.

The focus of this position is operational support. This is a finance rather than accounting role. Contractor will be working on business case scenarios and variance analyses using KPIs as well as the other duties listed. The successful candidate will have a track record of driving business results within operations and finance through outstanding leadership, proactive target setting and performance reporting. Extremely sharp business acumen required. Must have demonstrated the ability to thrive in an exceptionally fast-paced environment with quickly changing priorities. Looking for exceptional drive. Must have the ability to harvest, analyze and interpret data, create reports and present meaningful findings. Advanced Excel required. Hyperion a plus.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- As Finance liaison, establish operating relationships with leaders of functional areas.
- Drive business results within operations and finance through outstanding leadership, proactive target setting and performance reporting
- Provide continuous process improvement leadership, drive improvements to decision support processes and tools, provide transparency and clarity to key performance drivers and operational dependencies in support of organizational and operational productivity.
- Participate and support monthly analysis and development of comprehensive Financial Statements, quarterly forecasts, and annual operating plan.
- Responsible for the design and development of comprehensive dashboards and financial reports that communicate actionable metrics for each functional area
- Heavily involved in the month-end closing activities with emphasis on analysis and the reporting of financial/statistical data
- Be the organization?s financial expert to all functional areas through training, coaching, development of decision support processes and tools, implementation of key performance drivers that provide a clear and direct line of site to KPI?s and establish operational/financial targets and drive demonstrable improvements in productivity.
- Interact positively and pro-actively between departments to promote a one-team philosophy
- Ability to navigate through multiple data sources including various GL's, Excel and Hyperion
