Overview :
The Senior Financial Systems Analyst position is responsible for numerous tasks involved with supporting the Accounting and Financial Reporting groups' use of SAP, specifically the FI/CO modules. This position will be key in developing new accounting processes to be used upon the go-live of the new system and will include responsibility for report creation, master data maintenance and training of end users on the system. It will also serve as the functional and technical liaison between the Finance and Accounting groups and the IT SAP group.
This position will be a key resource in successfully carrying out the Finance Department's objectives with the SAP implementation.

Responsibilities :

* Assist in the development, configuration, testing of the general accounting departments SAP processes
* Develop and maintain appropriate Business Process Procedures for use within SAP
* Provide SAP FI/CO support to end users as needed
* Act as the liason between Finance and IT; providing troubleshooting, resolution to issues and coordination of the creation of complex reports or interfaces
* Maintain and update master data within SAP such as chart of accounts, cost centers, profit centers and internal orders
* Assist with the design and documentation of the intercompany processes
* Create reports as requested to support internal reporting and analysis using report painter, report witer and SAP Query.
* Work with cross functional teams on the design, testing and implementation of new funcionality and future enhancements
* Assist in the training of current and new employees on the use of SAP
* Assist Finance and Accounting mangement to continuously improve business practices taking into account SOX compliance considerations

Qualifications :
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
* Experience (5 -8 years) in a directly related role of SAP FI/CO design and implementation required
* Strong background in SAP FI/CO reporting capabilites, including report painter, report writer and SAP Query desired.
* Recent public company experience is strongly preferred.
* Strong project and time management skills.
* Highly organized.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong sense of urgency and work ethic.
* Strong interpersonal skills and experience with working with upper management effectively.
* Ability to handle stress, multiple priorities and deadlines.df-tc
