Firmware and Boot Engineer
Direct Hire / FTE
Location: Dallas, TX

Essential Job Functions:
This person will play a key role in defining and implementing future cross-platform, mobile security systems. Participation will focus on firmware and boot software.

Required Qualifications:
??? 10+ years experience or equivalent ability
??? Superior design and architecture skills
??? Strong C programming skills, and some experience with assembly language (Protected mode assembler is a plus)
??? Veteran system software developer, in Linux, Windows, or embedded systems
??? Extensive success implementing firmware and low-level software
??? Extensive experience with low-level system software development is required, especially boot loaders, BIOS, and drivers.
??? Kernel debugging proficiency is also required.
??? Familiarity and experience with user authentication is also desirable.
??? Knowledge of TrueCrypt and other low-level encryption is highly desirable.
??? Excellent communication skills on complex technical subjects, both verbal and written
??? Works closely with a developer team comprised of a range of skill levels
??? Ability to mentor key technical aspects of the system, and to help the team reach consensus
??? Must speak fluent English, work well within a small development team, adapt to existing programming standards, and develop new code as well as maintain/enhance existing applications
