Description
Robert Half Technology has an east side client who is seeking a contract or contract to hire employee to fill a needed position. The employee will be responsible for:• Day to day operation of the Patch Link system which applies patches to client's Windows systems.• Support PC installations, upgrades and maintenance including working on Help Desk support related to PC issues, many of which are at remote facilities – strong customer service skills required• Installing, upgrading and supporting network communications gear (Cisco)• Maintaining documentation changes related to the above items• Supporting general IT systems projects related to PCs, networks, LAN/WANMinimum Qualifications:• Strong background in support of Windows XP, 2003 server, MS Office Professional and LAN/WAN protocols • Bachelors degree in Computer Science and at least two years experience • Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems and articulate results• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel• Hands on experience is a mustPreferred Qualifications: The above minimum qualifications plus:• At least 3-5 years technical hands on experience. • Experience with Citrix, Unix/Linux administration, experience with LAMP technologies• Experience with Windows Domain Services administration• Scripting with VB, some programming experience• Experience supporting ERP or MRP applications• Experience with reporting tools such as Cognos, Crystal Reports, MS Access• Certifications in networking, security and/or operating systems• Experience with TCP\IP, SQL, Telecom systems, camera security systemsSome limited amount of travel to other company locations may be required from time to time.Preferred working hours would be 10am to 7pm (9-6 is also a possibility)
