Description
Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for overseeing and providing leadership to programs of large national scope and impact to the company. The incumbent will work collaboratively will all entities involved in the program and will serve as the liaison between CLIENT and the customer. In addition, the incumbent will provide strategic planning input to CLIENT leadership and relevant customers required for the successful completion of the program.
Essential Functions:
45% Ensures programs meet and exceed expectations by overseeing program activities, timeliness, budget and internal quality control standards. Serves as the primary liaison between the customer and the company. Facilitates activities between the company, customers and partners, providing continual status reports and resolving issues in a timely manner.
20% Ensures data are maintained accurately and in a confidential environment and that information is presented in a professional, accurate and understandable way.
20% Manages customer expectations with regard to the program and related activities. Partners with other organizations (whether internal to the QIO program or external) to complete activities and explore methods for improvement. Makes recommendations to company management and customers for enhancing the program.
10% Acts as a mentor to staff and works with health informatics leadership to improve motivations, learning and professional growth opportunities. May manage professional, technical and support staff.
5% Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Additional Comments:
15% local and overnight travel.
Master’s degree preferred.
Demonstrated experience with quality improvement methodologies
3-5 years managing professional and support staff.

Ability to stand, walk, sit or hear, using hands to finger, handle or fell over 2/3 of the time, reach with hands and arms under 1/3 of the time
Repetitive motion using arms, hands, and fingers over 60 minutes at a time.
Ability to read, reason and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format and to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or boards of directors.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Experience/Skills
Requirements:
Four year degree in Information Systems, health care or business management or related field, and/or equivalent training and/or experience; 8 - 10 years experience in a clinical, information systems and/or client relationship environment; demonstrated experience with information technology, data and data reporting.
Because of the nature and immediacy of the work, the ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance is essential.
