General Description: The incumbent will be responsible for performing complex duties for the monitoring and controlling of computer systems, network and job scheduling and processing, identifying and taking corrective action for complex problems. Responsibilities include performing day-to-day operations of data center computer equipment, including tape mounts; performing system backups, file restoration, and required, offsite rotation of backup data; performing problem determination and corrective actions in the operation of computer systems/servers and networks; monitoring the Tivoli Enterprise Console (TEC), identifying and initiating corrective actions for all alerts; assisting with production job turnover tasks; and assisting with job scheduling and job-processing monitoring.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in math, computer science, or equivalent technical training with 2 or more years of experience in an information technology related position. Required skills include knowledge of data center operations tasks and responsibilities; ability to identify and correct highly complex problems; knowledge of tape handling procedures; and knowledge of job scheduling software.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science or an information technology field of study with three or more years experience in an information technology related position.
