Description
The Senior Information Security Analyst ensures the confidentiality, availability, and integrity of systems, applications and data. He/She monitors, detects, reports security weaknesses, and enforces information security and policies. He/She ensures that the proper controls are in place to mitigate risks and to identify potential vulnerabilities. Will help design, develop and administer security systems and processes to protect ?s information resources.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
-Experience engineering and implementing Intrusion Detection systems is required
-Monitor perimeter for security vulnerabilities and attacks; assist in remediation efforts
-Ensures installed devices are secure from inside or outside attacks.
-Perform detailed technical analysis of various security logs
-Perform forensics and detailed technical investigations
-Perform incident response activities for security events
-Initiate Business As Usual scans to maintain security perimeter
-Monitor information security information portals and keep abreast of events, research and developments within the community
-Participating in projects, contributing to the design/architecture.
-Assist in global Information Security implementations
-Contribute to the strategic design of the security perimeter via the various architecture and engineering implementations.
-Experience conducting penetration studies and vulnerability assessments of hardware, software and information systems is required
-Identifies and helps mitigate any vulnerabilities on the network
-Reviews and verifies changes to the environment have been documented and approved.
-Performs periodic security reviews and assessments.
-Investigates, documents and reports suspicious activities.
-Maintain hardware and software tools used to support Information Security functions
-Assist in global Information Security implementationsdf-tc

Experience/Skills
QUALIFICATIONS AND/OR SKILLS

-4-year college degree
-7 or more years experience in Information Security (and/or equivalent experience and understanding of general and technical controls)
-Knowledge of UNIX, Linux, Windows OS family, TCP/IP and networking technologies required
-Familiarity with the development and deployment of secure web technologies
.CISSP certification a plus
-Demonstrate independent decision-making abilities
-Hands-on experience with 24hour/7day network monitoring and remediation
-Hands-on experience with IDS, ISS product suite a plus!
-Knowledge of state-of-the-art security software packages and techniques
-Hands-on working knowledge of network/internet security
-Proven experience and ability to identify vulnerabilities, recommend and implement security solutions
