Director of Application Architecture (Java Environment)This position will have no direct reports. It is more of a Java Sr. Applications Architect role. Job Responsibilities : ~The Senior J2EE Application Architect will be a member of the Enterprise Architecture group. The candidate will provide leadership in the development of the J2EE-based architecture. The candidate will focus on the development of the web application and business logic components of the IT Architecture using J2EE and IBM WebSphere technologies.The candidate will report to the Director of J2EE Architecture.The primary role and responsibility of the Senior J2EE Application Architect is to participate in the development of J2EE Architecture with the focus on web application and business logic components using Spring Framework. The Senior J2EE Application Architect will:~Participate in the development of the companys J2EE Application architecture using Spring Framework and Hibernate;Provide support and mentoring to application development teams using the framework developed by the Enterprise Architecture team;Participate in the integration of the companys J2EE Application architecture with current middleware architecture;Effective team player in a J2EE development environment with both onshore and offshore participants.

Requirements:

Qualifications : The candidate for this position will have the following skills and experience:~B.S degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent business experience required;~Working experience in onshore/offshore development model a plus;~Experience in all aspects of software development life cycle using the RUP methodology (use case driven iterative process;) required;~Solid experience in Unified Modeling Language (UML), XML, XSLT, XML Schema required;~Strong experience in the development of application frameworks using J2EE technologies including Servlet, JSP, EJB, JDBC required~Experience in using open source framework or developing framework for web-based application required;~Experience in using Spring Framework, Hibernate, Struts a plus;~Experience in development of Web Services, WSDL, JAX-RPC, SOAP required;~Knowledge of BPEL or FDML a plus;~Experience in development of workflow-based applications in a J2EE environment a plus;~Experience in development using the IBM WebSphere development tools (WSAD and WebSphere application server;) required~Good communication skills required.
