Description
Modis is currently seeking a qualified Java/J2EE Developer for an exciting contract opportunity with our client in the Morristown, NJ area.

This project is expected to start within the next 3-4 weeks and last for an initial duration of 24 months. There is a very high likelihood of contract extension and/or full time conversion.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Java Developer will be participating in the design and development of Web based applications using Java, Spring, Hibernate and MVC in an Unix Server/Oracle Database environment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Qualified individuals MUST have a technical Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
- Must be highly motivated and self directed with the ability to work successfully under minimal supervision
- Excellent Analytical and problem solving capabilities

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Expert Java Development within Spring/Hibernate framework
- 3+ years of experience using JSP, Servlets, Beans, EJBs, J2EE, XML
- 5+ years of Oracle SQL and PLSQL experience (Oracle 10g is a must)
- Strong Front End development skills in HTML, HDML, DHTML, UML, JavaScript, CSS, XML, XSLT
- Must have used Eclipse, SQL Navigator/TOAD, Apache, Tomcat, Unix (Solaris), Oracle 8i/9i for production-level projects
- Experience using Tomcat, Apache, Oracle 9i AS or Oracle 10G Application Server, WebLogic (Desired but not required)
- Spring, Hibernate, Java Server Faces knowledge/experience required.
- Must have experience developing with Spring framework and Hibernate
- 3+ years of Web database application development experience using MVC Architecture
- Experience with Ajax & developing Web services

Pay Rate: $48-$53
