Description: Seeking a candidate with superior knowledge of Java/J2EE, EJB, and Web Services and be able to lead projects. Should have experience with Application Servers - Websphere is preferred. Must have strong communications skills as there is heavy interfacing with various functional teams. Must be self motivated and adaptable to change. Database environment is Oracle.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Must have hands on technical lead experience having led small Java/J2EE development teams. Experienced in all facets of application development and design, having superior knowledge with J2EE (EJB, JDBC, JMS, Servlets, JSP, JNDI, J2EE Patterns). Strong leadership skills required.
  • Providing technical design and detailed program specifications to the programmers, track their progress, technical issue resolution
  • Responsible for assisting in Business Rules Discovery, Analysis, Design, and
    Development
  • Estimating work units, planning and scheduling of work units
  • Developing software specifications from design documents
  • New development, customization, and fixing existing code-base
  • Technical code reviews
  • Adherence to coding standards and finding opportunities for
    improvement

    Education and Typical Years of Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 8-10 years of software development experience with 2-4 years of ?hands on? team lead experience
  • Experience with Enterprise Application Architectures
  • Expertise with architecting, designing, developing and deploying Java (J2EE and J2SE) based solutions.
  • Working knowledge of Databases and SQL
  • Exposure to all phases of Software Development Life Cycle
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
