DESCRIPTION:Rapid analysis and response to practical smart card standards issues; modeling and implementation of Java middleware and applets, R&D on future smart card technologies:Smart Card Standards: * technical gap analysis in contactless, biometric, physical access; frame of reference is deployment, national standards, trends; forums include JFC, Biometric, ISO 7816 * Asses CAC competitive spec, including US SDO specs, & international * Develop software to interface with Smart CardsSmart Card Systems: * model smart card middleware and applets with UML (or other) and implement tools (COTS, Global Platform, etc.) for analyzing proposed standard changes. * implement reference model Java Card middleware * evaluate & test logical smart card access use cases such as AD, SSO. * specify UML backend transactions for validation of authentication

Requirements:

REQUIRED:US Citizen with ability to be cleared (credit, intl. travel restrictions)Java Programming (mid to advanced level)Experience with one or more of: * Java Interface specifications and programming * biometric technology * PKI infrastructure * UML * IDL * other modeling languagesEXCELLENT communication skills of complex conceptsDESIRED:Smart Cards (J2EE or Java Card Forum)AssemblyExp. with standards and specificationsBS CSPM exp
