Description
Our client is a technology company located in the Bay area. They are in search of a Sr. Level Linux Systems Administrator for a full-time, direct-placement position. Qualified candidates MUST possess experience supporting Mac OS integrated in to an Active Directory environment. Additional responsibilities will include:

--> Build, manage and administer IT's Linux & Apple(AFP) environment
--> Support and maintain Mac platforms integrated with our Active Directory and its integration with Mac environments
--> Develop, maintain and improve scripts & tools that automate manual procedures
--> Assist with monitoring and maintenance of infrastructure systems and troubleshoot production issues
--> Maintain & contribute to enterprise security model and best practices
--> Develop and enhance rapid deployment procedures for Linux systems
--> Build & maintain file systems and application level storage management
--> Measure and optimize system performance while coordinating these efforts with other IT groups
--> Project manage infrastructure initiatives and ensure proper communication, coordination & fast execution of tasks
--> Perform major upgrades and patch management
--> Provide 24/7 on call support and assist with end user support

Experience/Skills
--> Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
--> 5+ years of solid, systems administration proficiency with Linux products
--> Experience with Active directory and its integration with Mac environments
--> Experience with scripting languages including both Windows AND Apple
--> Demonstrated strong experience with the following technologies - Linux, Mac platforms, Security Policies, Security Auditing and a variety of storage and backup solutions, including SAN, NAS
--> Experience in building or participation in Disaster Recovery procedures for Linux systems and participation in Infrastructure Change Management processes is a must
--> Excellent written and oral communications skills, including the ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts verbally and in writing
--> ITIL / ITSM experience desirable
