Description
PBASIC FUNCTION: Responsible for maintaining local area network and server hardware systems. Primary responsibilities include configuring network servers and workstations, installing peripheral devices and software packages. Related responsibilities include configuring fault tolerance systems (disks, arrays, backup servers, etc.), trouble shooting network issues, configure routers, email and web servers. Configure print servers monitor network performance and coordinate weekly systems maintenance and administration tasks. Perform hardware and software troubleshooting resolve system device and replace worn computer components./P

LIESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
LIInstall, configures, troubleshoots and provides ongoing support of complex server hardware, software and client workstations and performs complex system capacity studies and planning for client systems.
LIMaintains a server operating environment and monitors complex backup procedures for the server software, application systems and client data.
LIMaintain and administer server configurations.
LIProvide complex technical systems engineering assistance to team members in other technical disciplines.
LICompetent to work independently at the highest technical level most of the time.
LIDetail oriented: Errors can result in substantial delays, expenses and disruption on projects.
LIMay act as a technical leader.
LIReports to IS/IT Director
LIResponsible for Network Hardware Support.

LIQUALIFICATIONS:
LIBachelor of Science degree or equivalent work experience.
LI4-6 years experience as a LAN Administrator required.
LIExtensive experience working medium to large data centers.
LIPrevious experience in project leadership and in providing technical consultation to field and personnel with a proven proficiency in providing effective direction to analysis.
LIGood analytical and communications skills essential.
LIAbility to communicate with all levels in an organization essential.
LIAbility to communicate with all levels in an organization essential.
LIExperience working with customers, strong analytical, organization, negotiation and problem-solving skills are essential.
LIAbility to work on multiple tasks at the same time essential. Knowledge of Microsoft applications (i.e, Word, Excel, etc.) required.
