Description
Team is recruiting for a senior level DBA contractor with experience in data warehousing and database conversions

  • A background in ETL and conversion tools for stored procedures is necessary

  • 5+ years work experience as a Geospatial DBA

  • Expert knowledge of ESRI software specifically of ArcSDE 9.1 and later version

  • Expert knowledge of MS SQL Server

  • Advanced knowledge of Oracle and Oracle Spatial 8i and later

  • Knowledge of all standard spatial data formats

  • Experience with design, management and maintenance of complex SQL Server databases and clustered environments

  • Extensive knowledge of current IT and computer science concepts, issues, best practices, methodologies and trends specifically those relating to database design and administration

  • Experience with and knowledge of database programming concepts including Data Warehousing, Data Marts, SQL, SSIS, T-SQL, and Triggers

  • Experience analyzing and troubleshooting the interaction between databases, OS, and applications in the areas of performance and resource usage

  • Experience working with OS and MS SQL to establish monitoring and logging procedures

  • Experience supporting people who depend on the availability and proper operation of production IT environments

  • Experience supporting Datawarehouse and management initiatives

  • Communicate clearly and effectively in writing and verbal

  • Analyze complex issues and information relating to database management

  • Establish work priorities

  • DBA works closely with the network analysts, server support and software development teams plus internal business stakeholders, ensuring the full integration and smooth functioning of the database and of the environment including all internal databases that support the infrastructure of the business
