Description
Sr. Manager with 5 major background components: Ph.D., academic involvement (other than obtaining degrees), R&D, strong technology/I.T. focus, and operations management. This position will function within a Fortune 200 company, and will lead a group of sr. software developers in delivering I.T. solutions for the business. The job focus consists of the research, piloting, and adaptation of advanced technology. Once a prototype has been developed, the project will be passed off to production, and the group will then go to the next project. You will oversee the development team and meet scheduled milestones to ensure project objectives are met. It will be imperative that this person be able to earn the respect of the development team, and be able to lead them to success. Again, you must possess and be able to demonstrate the following: a Ph.D. (preferable), strong applications development background in Information Technology, academic involvement in higher education, and an R&D background.
