Description
Our client located in Vance, Alabama is looking for a Sr. Oracle DBA for a 6 month contract assignment; Candidate needs to be an experienced Oracle DBA with 7x 8x 8i 9i and working apps systems knowledge. Experience with DB2 and SQL server along with AIX 4.3.3 5l, HP 11i and Windows NT/2000/2003 would be a definite plus. Experience in an automotive environment would also be a plus. Applications that are supported include Baan, ERP, EDI, FTZ, data warehouse, time attendance, payroll and a host of other automotive manufacturing related applications. Immediately looking for a highly skilled and motivated oracle DBA with experience in applications development AIX shell scripting windows NT/2000/2003 and must work locally at the customer site (no Remote work is possible for this assignment) Must have excellent teaming and customer relationship management skills with good process and procedure knowledge and background. Must have good analyst, customer relationship management and communications skills as well

Client manages all project assignments - perform data modeling and logical database design - monitor database performance and security - provide data archiving methodology, software, and implementation - install the applications using the databases - troubleshoot and resolve problems associated with the databases and applications - provide application expertise and understanding of how programs are accessing database tables, in order to assist in performance tuning. -
