Description
Our Corporate Headquarters has a challenging opportunity available for a self starting Sr. Project Manager in our Customer Care and Sales Process Division.

Reporting through the PMO, the Sr. Project Manager will plan and manage the delivery of complex IT and business systems and process solutions in support of business objectives and ongoing operations. Management responsibilities include: oversight of project planning, estimating, execution, controlling, implementation and closure.

Specific responsibilities include:

Lead project planning and analysis including:

Gathering requirements, client interface, schedule development, defining appropriate resources and project delivery costs; documenting approvals, leading RFP and RFQs and assisting the sponsor in defining the benefit of delivering the project.

Controlling the project including:

Maintaining project schedules, assigning and tracking activities, ensuring appropriate project resources, monitoring project expenditures, forecasted spend and project effort vs. baseline, completing weekly project status reports, facilitating status update meetings, ensuring accuracy of PMO status and data with respect to their project, ensuring timeliness and quality of components/deliverables of the project framework

Closing the project including:

Documenting lessons learned, obtaining feedback from project sponsors and providing feedback to associate managers on team performance during the project.

Participating and contributing to the PM Community of practice including: mentoring and assisting associates who have identified themselves as wanting to become a project managerdf-tc


Experience/Skills
Position qualifications include:

Bachelor's degree required in Business Administration, Management, Information Technology or other related discipline

PMP Certification preferred

MBA or other advanced degree preferred

6 - 8 years of related experience in managing large sized IT and business projects

0 - 2+ years of proven experience in a consultant role

Experience in establishing best practices for repeatable project management processes within a PMO environment

Exceptional analytical, problem solving and decision making capabilities

Excellent communication skills (verbal/written/presentation)

Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interact and influence others at all levels of the organization

Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and follow up

Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including intermediate skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and advanced skills in MS SharePoint, MS Project and MS Visio

Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, meet deadlines, ensure quality and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced, service oriented environment

Ability to travel on an as needed/required basis

Local candidates preferred. Relocation will not be provided
