Description
Our client, located in Omaha, NE or Jersey City, NJ is seeking a Sr. Security Analyst for an immediate contract position.
Details include:
The Security Analyst II will take a lead role in writing and overseeing compliance with internal policies as well as external laws and regulations. This includes process and control reviews for both internal security functional areas and external IT and business functions within the company.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
-Coordinate security governance functions to ensure information systems follow internal and external policies, laws, regulations, and standards.
- Monitor and assist with security governance activities and projects to determine the level of compliance to policies and assist in creating and monitoring action plans for any identified deficiencies.
- Facilitate governance processes and projects within T2.
- Oversight of projects related to his or her security functional area.
- Maintain knowledge proficiency on international and national standards, regulations, and legal security requirements.
- Assist with Information and Corporate Security Operations as needed in support of business functions.
- Assist the Security Business Practices Managers as needed.

Required Skills:
-Must present a professional image and comply with the related dress code policies
- An understanding of Network Based and Physical Protection Security Systems and applications, their deployment, use and operating concepts. This includes how Access Control, Surveillance, Intrusion Detection (both logical and physical) Systems, Electronic Fingerprint and Network Security Monitoring system tools operate.
- An understanding of how information protection, both electronic and non-electronic tools work to control and mitigate risk.
-The ability to operate Windows based programs which require intermediate to advanced computer skills
-Familiarity with security tools used to address authentication, authorization, administration, confidentiality, monitoring and enforcement
- Requires a mature person who enjoys working with people and can relate to a variety of people at all levels, including business executives and independent contractors.
- Previous security, law enforcement, military police, or equivalent experience desired.
- Three to five years in the security/ loss protection/safety/risk field
- Financial services experience desired
- Must possess strong interpersonal, listening and communications skills.
- Must possess a high level of discernment in dealing with emergency and/or tense situations.
- Knowledge and experience in conducting internal program audits and/or quality control reviews

Required Education:
A Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience required. College work preferred with degrees in related fields (i.e. Criminal Justice, Security Management, or Information Security /Protection.)
