Description
CDI is working with one of clients to help them find two Sr. Software QA Engineers.

The main responsibilities are the execution of manual gray box QA test cases and creation and follow-through of proper software defect reports.

Additional duties include creation and/or maintenance of manual test scripts, identification of missing test cases and refining existing scripts for modularity and automation prep purposes.

Other responsibilities include verification of data in a SQL database, providing estimates for assigned work, and occasionally working with shell/Python scripts.

Four plus years of Software QA experience with a moderate understanding of QA methodology.

Previous employment in a startup environment is preferable.

Knowledge of general programming techniques is essential.

Strong knowledge of SQL queries is required.

Ability to program in Python, Shell, PHP or C++ is essential.

Strong UNIX is required.

Strong verbal and written skills, attention to detail, and a strong team-based attitude are required.

Experience in some aspect of financial services is highly desirable.

Must be team-oriented and yet be capable of working largely on your own with minimal supervision.

This position requires healthy doses of initiative and also the willingness to work long hours (and sometimes weekends) when necessary, and also to remain flexible in a very dynamic environment.
