We are currently seeking a Senior Systems Architect at one of our development locations (Austin, TX, Danbury, CT, and Lanham, MD) or our Group 1 Software division, a growing leader in Customer Communications Management and Data Quality Solutions. Serve as member of the e2/DOC1 Professional Services Team to design solutions using the DOC1 and e2 Product suite.

Essential Duties:
- Engage with customers to define/determine business requirements for e2 and DOC1 Applications.
- Works with relative autonomy on the detailed analysis, design of implementation system components.
- Assumes responsibility for acquiring knowledge of the technologies and products necessary to the completion of assigned tasks.
- Participates actively in requirements and design discussions, bringing his/her perspective to bear on system design.
- Serves as technical expert on system components with members of other Professional Services groups, Documentation, QA, and other internal contacts.
- Conforms to company standards in code, other project artifacts, and documentation.

Experience/Skills
Qualifications
- B.S. in Computer Science or Information Systems, or the equivalent work experience
- 5 years of Software Development experience
- 5 years of object-oriented programming experience, including UML methodologies and tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required (Samples may be required)
- Strong background in multi-threaded application development
- Strong experience in server-side programming
- Strong java programming experience, including J2EE, servlets
- Strong experience in large scale software projects with full life cycle processes experience
- 5 years in large-scale system-s integration
- Experience with JBOSS and BEA Weblogic preferred
- Experience with Oracle 9i and SQL Server
- Experience with Apache and IIS
- Strong XML experience
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously on major system components
- Also highly desirable: strong UNIX background, experience developing middleware, product integration experience, experience working on co-located teams or payment systems.
- Travel is required
