Description
Senior Systems Engineers play a key role for many large, technically complex, Cisco, Windows 2000 Active Directory and MS Exchange implementation projects for clients.

Responsibilities include the design, configuration, installation, integration and troubleshooting of Cisco LAN/WANs and wireless networks. In addition, this position involves significant customer interaction and an opportunity to demonstrate strong communication, leadership, and client relationship skills.

The position is based in Hauppauge, LI and will require travel into the five boroughs of New York City and Nassau/Suffolk county areas.

Experience/Skills
Qualified candidates will possess the following skills: . 7+ years experience in LAN/WAN environments with a solid understanding of network infrastructure & protocols . Strong understanding of internetworking concepts & software: IP addressing & subnet masking, cable limitations, documentation of physical network topology, DHCP, CDP, TRACEROUTE & Ping for network discovery, & Cisco IOS. . Expert knowledge of Windows 2000 Server & Professional, 98 & XP . CCIE required (preferably in Security) . CISSP and/or Windows 2000/2003 MCSE certifications a plus . Solid knowledge of the following protocols & their configuration on Cisco internetworking devices: TFTP, RIP, EIGRP, Spanning Tree Protocol, AppleTalk and IPX. . Ability to create and deliver presentations . Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills . Excellent documentation/writing ability . Experience managing technical teams . Bachelor's degree
