I. Summary: Senior Systems Engineer and Infrastructure Team Lead for the ACS Health Management Solutions (HMS) business unit in Richmond, Virginia. Hands-on system and network engineer with management or team lead experience capable of deploying, maintaining and troubleshooting computing technologies, as well as managing priorities and assignments for five engineers. The position helps to support two datacenters which house a variety of web, call center, point-of-sale, and batch processing applications, that provide healthcare IT data services. Will require participation in on-call engineer pager rotation duties. Position reports to the Northeast Regional IT Services Manager.

25% of position Team Lead: Provide daily work assignments, direction, prioritization, and report status for ACS IT Shared Services personnel assigned to the HMS business unit. Duties may include purchasing and change control.
75% of position Infrastructure Engineering: Architect, deploy, manage and troubleshoot distributed computing technologies in support of the ACS HMS business unit.


Education: Undergraduate degree in computer science or related discipline preferred, or comparable industry experience or education.
Experience: Minimum of seven years of experience managing information technology infrastructure. Minimum of two years of experience in a management or team lead position.

Job Skills:
Ability to build an effective team environment through positive and professional interaction with internal and external customers.
Proven ability to work in a real-time, POS data center environment where clients expect/require high availability system support
Demonstrated expertise in applicable areas including personnel management, vendor management, project management, procurement, inventory, change control, documentation, infrastructure architecture, operations monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Hands-On technical skills and demonstrated problem solving abilities on several of the following technologies:
Microsoft Server 2003
VMware
Sun Solaris 9
EMC CLARiiON Storage and PowerPath
Hitachi SAN Storage and HDLM
F5 BigIP Load Balancers
Cisco switchers and routers.
Cisco ASA Firewalls.
Microsoft SQL Server 2005
Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS)
Veritas NetBackup and Backup Exec
Veritas StorageFoundations HA
Functioning knowledge of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook.
Strong oral and written communication skills
