Description
Our Ceres customer is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer to provide technical and system support for all servers, router, switches and data center operations including software/hardware installation, configuration, network maintenance and troubleshooting.1. Install, configure, and maintain servers, routers, switches and databases.2. Analyze business needs of the end-user community and make recommendations.3. Work as a team member to answer, evaluate, and prioritize incoming telephone, voice mail, e-mail, and in-person requests for assistance from users experiencing problems with hardware and software.4. Develop organizational policies and procedures for hardware and software use and provide end-user training as needed.5. Support applications, email, and operating systems on user workstations as needed.6. Configure, maintain, and support local and network printers.7. Assists in implementing and documenting best practices and operating procedures with regard to Information Services resources.

Experience/Skills
1. Proficient in Microsoft Windows Server environments, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, ISA and security concepts and practices.2. Experienced with Exchange Server 2003 architecture, configuration and maintenance. 3. Knowledgeable with Cisco routers and switches, IP routing, VLANs and subnets a must.4. Experience with enterprise ERP systems in an Oracle environment preferred.5. Working knowledge of wireless 802.1x networks and security, LAN and WAN connectivity to include Telecom interconnects and protocols.6. Excellent communication and customer service skills to promote and demonstrate an attitude of team work, cooperation, and customer service.
