Description
Manage and support multiple Windows 2000 and Windows 2003 servers within an enterprise production environment. Provide technical expertise for server migration and retirement. Handle all aspects of server installation and maintenance. Set up a test platform for security back-up. Implement backup and disaster recovery processes, system administration procedures, and security and control structures.
* Implement and test operating systems and application software.
* Support program language compilers, editors, system utilities, reporting tools, and database query tools.
* Migrate servers; retire servers.
* Develop solutions to a variety of complex problems.df-tc


Experience/Skills
* 6+ years of technical support experience
* 3 to 5 years of hands-on Windows 2000/2003 server support experience in large production environments.
* 2 - 3 years experience with Windows Active Directory
* Solid experience in server migration and server retirement.
* Experience setting up a test platform for security back-up.
* Broad knowledge of networking technologies and systems.
* Knowledge of automated monitoring and management tools.
* Experience in providing user training and documentation.
* 3 or more years experience with HP Proliant servers.
* Able to move, lift, and install system components that can weigh up to 50 pounds.
* Able to provide after hours/weekend support when necessary.
