JOB DESCRIPTION
Sr. UNIX/Sorlaris ADMIN

Responsible for leading and engaging with tactical and strategic project efforts to provide expertise in the creation of data architectures, data models, data standards, data quality, XML and service specifications. Identify optimization opportunities across the enterprise through project engagements. Align efforts with other Enterprise Architecture/Information Management counterparts to ensure overall alignment of architecture components. Demonstrated expertise in data architecture. Excellent data modeling skills. Detailed understanding of financial services industry and broad understanding of AXP. Demonstrated understanding and experience with data architecture, service messaging and component development. Demonstrated ability to work in a geographically dispersed, multi-functional environment. Bachelor's degree of equivalent experience preferred. Familiar with XML tools (i.e XML Spy), messaging, DTDs, and Schemas.
Diverse work experience supporting distributed applications residing on Sun MicroSystems supported by Solaris OS including strong Computer Systems Management skills. Must have strong strategic and thought leadership skills. Possess an industry wide knowledge and demonstrable expertise and knowledge in integration of midrange solutions and strategies. Must have strong judgment and organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively with Business and Technologies Leaders and staff at all levels. Strong business acumen and the ability to identify key issues and their impact in a broad business context. Strong presentations/verbal communications skills and the ability to train and mentor other support engineers. Application of consultative skills and proven ability to drive results for large-scale integration. Proven ability to deliver solutions with emphasis on reducing cycle time and increasing speed to market of new products. Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong decision-making and negotiation skills.
