We have an immediate need for a Sr. UNIX Systems Admin

JOB DESCRIPTION
The SR. Unix admin. needs to have experience with AIX 5.3, HACMP (or HPUX on high availability systems).Working in a global Unix support team, the Senior UNIX systems administrator will be responsible for managing and supporting the server-based Unix environment.

Responsibilities
Install, configure and maintain Servers in a primarily AIX High availability environment; this includes also some HPUX and Linux servers.
Install related products and support tools, third party and custom applications
Undertake operating system and application patch management
Perform an architecture and design role from time to time
Perform intermediate to advanced level UNIX systems administration activities
Undertake preventative monitoring
Troubleshoot systems, network and application problems
Use Scripting or other programming languages to automate processes and maintain the application environments
Performance analysis
Some project work from time to time

Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field is required.
- At least 4 years experience supporting AIX operating system
- AIX 5.3 and P-Series experience a MUST HAVE
- 4 years experience supporting IBM hardware
- 2 years experience with HACMP, 1 plus years experience working with IBM Logical Partitions.
- KORN Shell Scripting and system tuning experience
- Experience connecting to SAN disk subsystem
- AIX Disaster Recovery and exposure to Netbackup - desired
- Experience with SAP systems a plus.
- IBM Certified Specialist System P Administration - desired
- Implementation and support experience in a global environment is highly preferred
- Ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently
- Must have a disciplined approach and commitment to delivering on Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Experience working with a formal change control process
- Must have excellent communication, organizational and documentation skills
- Should have the ability to quickly diagnose and fix critical server problems, and react to user problems and requests in a timely and professional manner
- Ability to work effectively on a Global Team
