Description
Client is in the process of a major release, under very aggressive time lines. Looking for Sr. Architect Level Systems Engineer to support a major upgrade. Current customer environment consists of 2 million subs and growing. Candidate must possess high level ability for designing processes and procedures in a 24 X 7, highly diverse environment focusing on performance management, scalability, etc. Must be able to think through with out prototypes - ability to put on paper and see potential flaws prior to implementation. Experience/Skills
Senior Unix Systems Engineer (Weblogic Guru)
Hands-on Weblogic 7 experience in the enterprise space including deployment, system scaling and operations management. Strong scripting experience in Bourne and Korn shells Solid Solaris 8, Apache, Veritas, Oracle, EMC, Cisco and Nortel Alteon engineering and operations experience is required. Excellent communication and documentation skills Proven track record in detailed architecture review. Strong TCP/IP networking skills Network debugging and kernel debugging System performance tuning Has been focused mainly in web application environment Troubleshoot deep JVM issues Verify API's (be able to confirm if there will be a need for firewall changes, etc). Ability to provide clear and concise written feedback to engineering staff and management. CISSP is a strong plus


Someone that has come up through the ranks as a strong Unix Admin and is now at a place where they can take on a high level architect role, yet still be able to implement with their current hands on exp.

SKILLS: Weblogic,unix, Solaris, Apache, Veritas Cluster, Oracle, EMC, Cisco, Nortel, Alteon, Unix shell scripting

Nortel and Alteon is nice to have but not mandatory.
