A thriving company with a vision to ensure quality care (healthcare) and financial performance seeks a talented Sr. VP of Product Development.

What you will be doing:
In this role, the newly hired Sr. VP will provide an overall strategic and operational direction to the organization's technological planning and development function. He/She oversees all product development initiatives, to include software development activities and technology research/analysis to assure the company's competitive position and to meet long-range strategic goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Directs overall product development plan so that new products or improved products are delivered to market on a timely basis with the appropriate quality standards.

Monitors products from research to roll-out, ensuring that products satisfy specifications and meet established goals.

Oversees product architecture and implementation to allow for future development and maintenance.

Serves as a key member of executive management team to set strategic direction of the company.

Leads the evaluation of new technologies and software products to determine feasibility and desirability of incorporating their capabilities within company products.

Directs software development efforts with third party vendors and/or the integration of third party vendors' software with company products.

Collaborates with leaders across the business to ensure successful execution of product plans and customer satisfaction.

What you need to qualify:

10 years of leadership experience, with experience leading software development organizations of 200 or more individuals.

Previous participation/leadership in setting product strategy.

Demonstrated success managing product development over multiple product lines.

Healthcare IT industry experience is not required, but is strongly desired!

Experience with offshore development and vendor relations is required.

Successful track record delivering new products from inception up to maintenance engineering.

Experience interacting and building relationships internally and externally, including with customers.

Software industry experience developing products for sale.

Strong cross-functional collaboration skills to ensure successful definition and execution of strategy.

Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field, masters degree is preferred.
