Description
Job Title: Senior Web Designer
Education: Bachelor's Degree in graphic design or related field required.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in internet design
Job Summary: This position has a heavy emphasis on creative design, user interaction principles and Flash technology.
You will be responsible for a range of needs, from design and production of static web pages to large-scale Flash-based web sites, web apps, and standalone assets.

Overall Responsibilities
• Translate suppliers brand and campaigns into WM.com/SC.com specs
• Push the boundaries of what's possible on the web to create better experiences for users
Results measured in higher CTR, increased time spent on page via innovative pov interactivity
• Report to AD
• Lead junior designers
• Ability to sketch storyboards and thumbnails quickly and clearly.
• Solid knowledge of the constraints of online design; research and explore best practices in interactive design
• Follow established processes and specifications to create client deliverables
• Organize directories, project files and assets in consideration to our requirements
•Accountable for adding metrix tags
•Complete designer Q/A check list
• Experience working within rapid concepting and delivery time frames
• Design of interactive materials, such as Flash products, layouts, and animated sequences
• Ability to take direction and complete tasks quickly and efficiently
• Work effectively with editors, project managers, and other creative/production team members

Required Hard skills:
• Expert in web design processes and programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, etc)
• Very strong Flash skills required (intermediate level Actionscript, Javascript, and XML is a plus)
• Computing experience: Must be able to hand code HTML/CSS/Actionscript
• Experience optimizing images for web user interface and creating HTML/CSS that matches a Photoshop design layout and understanding how mockups translate to code.
• Identify, leverage, and share additional tools and materials to assist your production work (Firefox extensions, code validators, debuggers, W3C web site, etc

Specific Job Requirements:
•Be prepared for mapping / KO meeting: review supplier websites
•Read and understand Creative Brief prior to meeting
•Determine if asset collection is adequate
•Confirm that supplier fonts are supplied
•Bring thumbnails to kick offs
•Sr. designer, in AD absence at mapping and or KO, gather information, create thumbnail and follow up with AD
•Accountable for design review deadline with AD
•Add project deadline to calendar
•Touch base with AD prior to leaving to communicate status of program
•Check with AD/Studio manager when workload is empty
•Contribute to design review
•Minimize revisions by double checking work / Complete all changes requested not partial
•Learn from supplier/AD changes and apply to next program
•Acknowledge that downloading music is against TDM policy
•Monitor surfing
•Sensitive to working in a tight space with others/ keep tone down
