Unison Systems Inc. is a full-service IT consulting firm that specializes in both IT contingency based staffing and end-to-end IT Business and Software solutions. As an independent, locally owned consulting firm that has been in business since 1997, we have 3 main areas of expertise: Software Life Cycle Support, Data Warehouse Support, and Infrastructure Support.

Unison Systems has an immediate need for a Sr. Windows Administrator for a global provider of critical energy data and services.

Incumbents in this position work as part of a team to provide engineering, implementation and operational support for a broad range of infrastructure technologies. Incumbent will act as a member of the Global Server and Storage team. Incumbent also has a broad knowledge of server administration, storage solutions, virtual environments, and system backups. Incumbents in this position support planning, development, and implementation of the Companys operations facilities around these areas in a global environment.

General Job Duties:

- Participate as part of a team in designing, developing and implementing infrastructure technologies for the business.

- Participate in developing guidelines and procedures for servers, data storage and virtual environments and in communicating those to the user community.

- Provide technical support and problem resolution on moderately complex issues in one or more of the following areas: Windows and Unix servers, Exchange administration, storage systems, virtual servers, and backup solutions.

- Manage small to medium-sized projects or portions of large projects and assist in resolving issues and planning for new applications and services.

- Identify and recommend opportunities to improve and enhance communication services to internal and external customers.

- Establishes program budget and timelines for small to medium-sized programs or portions of a program; manage assigned segment of program within budget and time constraints.

- Monitor and report to management on program status, identify issues that may impede attainment of goals, recommend and implement corrective measures.

- Provide technical direction and training to more junior technical services personnel.

- Perform other duties as required.


Specific Job Duties:

- High level experience in system administration in a distributed, global environment.

- Bachelors in Computer Science, related field or equivalent experience.

- 5 + years of experience in Windows server administration (specifically 2003 or 2008), server configuration and storage technology.

- Must have VMware experience (set-up, administer, etc.)

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong interpersonal skills ??? must be able to work effectively as part of a project/program team and foster team cooperation.

- Must be able to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.

MAJOR PLUSS:

- Any UNIX/Linux administration experience

- Experience with MS Exchange

- Relevant certifications (ie MSCE, A+, etc.)


Location: Englewood, CO

Duration: 3 months (potential extension)

Hourly Range: $40-50./hr. W2 (pending experience)
