Sr. Database Administrator 2 - C2 is required.

Complete Description:
Ensures that department standards for data are adhered to in constructing data management programs and tools. Mentors less experienced personnel. Apply accepted data content standards to technology projects. Provide education and information on security policies, practices, and awareness programs. Define data architecture standards for the organization, structure, attributes, and nomenclature of data elements. Provide input into complex decisions as they relate to data architecture.

Responsibilities will include:
Work with medium to large-scale databases in Unix, Windows, and Linux environments.
Implement and execute database backup and recovery procedures.
Develop and execute Unix, Linux, Window, Oracle, SQL Server and DB2 UDB scripts.
Work with application development groups for database design and implementation.
Deploy database designs produced by DBA and/or application development teams.
Implement and maintain database security.
Perform Oracle, SQL Server and UDB Database tuning and performance monitoring.
Provide 24x7 support.
Contribute to documentation and standards for DBA tasks.

Behavior Characteristics:
** Please note this is a six-month contract. There is a possibility that it could be extended after the initial six months, but the manager is not sure at this point. **
