Job Description/Responsibilities:

What I am looking for is the following:
Someone who has spent many years in the biotech engineering arena that have proven ability to interface with clients in all aspects of engineering to include: business and technology, financial implications, cost justification, and solid engineering options.
Someone with solid, proven front-end experience. For example, this individual can come into a project during its conceptual phase and create an engineering study centered around what is specifically needed for the project. Someone who may state, With what we are trying to accomplish, there is a problem with utilizing our old equipment on this particular project. This individual can speak to the financial and technical implications of redoing, upgrading, designing, and build of new equipment.
Experience in facilities infrastructure
SCENARIO OF A PROJECT IN FACILITIES INFRASTRUCTURE: We have a 10,000 sq ft. plant Located in the plant are clean rooms that are utilized to make the product (drug) in bulk. Included in the space are clean steam machines; an example of a clean steam machine are HVAC systems that provide clean air.
These machines must be up to par for each project. Therefore this specific project may entail an engineer dedicated to upkeep, study, troubleshooting, specifications (basically everything involved with the HVACs). The engineer will have all encompassing experience of that particular piece of equipment. The engineer can interface with clients, provide solid engineering options, test the equipment, provide solid suggestions, and justify options/suggestions from a technical and business perspective.
The projects are not specific to HVAC, they can involve purification tanks, autoclaves, centrifuge, chromatography skid, CIP any type of engineering equipment.
KEY WORDS, AS INDICATED BY THE HIRING MANAGER, FOR SEARCHES: ENGINEERING STUDY, DESIGN, PROJECT JUSTIFICATION, BUSINESS IDENTIFICATION, CIP, SIP, CENTRIFUGE. Note, these words are not specific to each project, but someone who typically has worked in these environments are good candidates.

JOB DESCRIPTIONS BELOW TO ASSIST IN SEARCHcandidate does not need to meet all requirements this is to assist the candidate to determine environment, etc

Environment: As Amgen manufacturers their products (pharmaceuticals), this group wants to increase, redo process equipment, design, construct and buildhand over to manufacturing to produce product. The department usually comes in during the Process Development phase when it is determined after clinical trials that the product will be successful. So, now they need to make a bulk amount for shipping and need the plant operations and equipment to get it done. Each project may be associated with Bioreactors, Purification, Buffer Print Tanks and many other additional equipment needs. This department will determine such things as size of equipment, flow rates, pressure, etc the client in relation to this department is Amgens manufacturing plant owners and support facility owners (which are Amgen internal employees). There are currently 14 employees that this manager has on his team. This is not a managerial or supervisory position.
