Description
Perform software requirements analysis, design and implementation throughout product life cycle with minimal supervision, mentor other engineers, and perform as a team lead.
* Independently create software architecture and designs based on system and software requirements. Assist team engineers with definition, decomposition & documentation.
* Create systems and software requirements and design documents on technology programs.
* Analyze product or equipment specifications and performance requirments to determine best design and architecture. Analyzes test data and reports to verify if design meets functional and performance specifications.
* Implementing, debugging, integration and testing of designs and production rollout.
* Maintain a working knowledge of new and emerging technologies for future products.
* Identify and investigate use of appropriate developement tools.
* Interact with other personnel in the enineering team, other departments, and customers throughout the development process.
* Provide guidance and mentoring to junior engineering staff.
* Travel to other locations as required.df-tc

Experience/Skills
* Candidates must have 8-10 years experience in the design and development of embedded SW for communication/network devices, wirless terminals, access points, base stations and/or radio networks; including full product lifecycle experience
* Experience in wireless protocols such as WLAN, GSM, UMTS, IS-95, CDMA, etc.
* Proficient in C/C++, embedded enviornments, RTOS.
* Knowledge of CASE tools like SDT, Rational Rose, etc.
* Exposure to DSP based systems and/or programming a plus.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent problem solving, debugging and analytical skills. Strong proven technical leadership skills.
* M.S. Degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
