Description
We have a client in Sidney, NE who is ready to add a Storage Admin to the team. Duties and responsibilities include:
- Review, maintain, & update storage related software on servers.
- Monitor health & tune for performance.
- Assist with backup\restore issues.
- Assist with technical support, including shell scripting and testing of new hardware & software.
- Communicate with managers and end users about storage issues.
- Assist with System Administration tasks.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Work occasional weekends or evenings.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

- Good knowledge of SAN and NAS concepts.
- Good knowledge of SAN based hardware and software.
- Working knowledge of disk storage configuration for HP-UX, Solaris, AIX and Windows.
- Careful work habits.
- Able to function independently or with a team.
- Motivated to learn new skills and technologies.
- Good written & verbal communication skills.
- Able to balance priorities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

- Minimum of 2 years experience working with SAN Storage hardware and software as well as various SAN switch platforms and other storage platforms.
- Associates degree in Computer Science desired, but a combination of experience and education will be considered.df-tc
