Description
Background of Engagement: Storage Management Residency - manage all aspects of storage and SAN provisioning in a large Solaris Unix environment.Critical Skills Required: ? Working knowledge of ControlCenter and all of it's plug-in components, SYMCLI, and Navisphere.? Understanding of Symmetrix and Clariion architectures and best practices, including (but not limited to) disk layout, formation of LUNs, RAID groups, Hyper volumes, Meta volumes, Snap/BCV volumes, etc.? Understanding of SAN architectures and best practices.Additional "nice to have" Skills:? Ability to install PowerPath on Solaris UNIX servers? Understanding of Oracle databases? Understanding of UNIX environments? Understanding of ITIL and Six Sigma terminologies and practicesClient Infrastructure:Two remote datacenters: one in Mason, Ohio, and one in Alpharetta, Georgia. Both managed from Shelton, CT. Each datacenter has large McData SAN, primarily ED-140M and ED-64M, with some DS32M. Storage is Symmetrix 5.5, Symmetrix DMX, Clariion CX700 and Clariion CX600. Total storage is aprox. 350 TB. Servers are predominantly Sun Solaris, with some Wintel.Additional Information or Comments: ?Candidate must be certified EMC Proven Professional?
