SMARTSOURCE is currently working on a 6 month contract to hire opportunity in the DC area
Job Type: contract to hire

Desired:
5+ years overall I.T. industry experience, and individual product experience as noted below. The ideal candidate should have good troubleshooting skills, as well as good communication skills as they will be interfacing with application owners regarding the status of the protection of the data on their servers.
Proficient with: hp dl servers, hp c7000 blades, EVA storage, SAN environment, VMware Backup products: CommVault, Double Take, and FalconStor Data protection products
The key subject areas and ideal experience are:
FalconStor IPStor, DiskSafe, and HyperTrac ???
1-3 years experience with:
- using IPStor appliances in an asymmetric failover configuration
- local and remote replication using IPStor appliances
- DiskSafe replication over iSCSI
- HyperTrac integration with tape backup software
Double-Take software -- 1-3 years experience with:
- local and remote replication using Double-Take software
- integration of Double-Take replication targets with tape backup software
CommVault Galaxy -- 1-3 years experience with:
- using CommVault Galaxy in a multi-site configuration
- SAN-attached disk and tape devices as backup targets
- integration with Windows VSS snapshot services

Basic familiarity with the following subject areas would also be helpful:
- HP EVA disk arrays
- HP EML tape library
- Brocade SAN switches
- VMWare ESX
- HP Proliant servers, both rackmount (DL) and blades (BL)
The candidate would be expected to perform the following on a daily basis:

FalconStor -
- Report these statuses to the application owners
- Report any problems to the IT team for resolution

Double-Take environment:
- Verify status of all local and remote replication sets
- Report any problems to the IT team for resolution

CommVault
- Perform restores as requested
- Request tapes from Iron Mountain as needed for restores
