JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We are currently seeking a highly motivated professional that will research, monitor and document technological trends and directions, analyze the organizational use of IT to identify technological opportunities, and develop architecture and technology standards to be used throughout the organization. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. The ideal candidate will possess Enterprise Architecture, Application Architecture, Software Engineering and Technical Writing experience. Consulting experience is preferred. Responsibilities include aligning business strategies and requirements with emerging technologies, and developing strategy whitepapers and product positioning papers to support these initiatives. Conducts research projects to identify and evaluate emerging technologies and develop plans and strategies to introduce new technology, which will provide a competitive advantage in the marketplace. Conducts technical and functional evaluations of the organization?s use of technology and identifies existing opportunities for improved utilization. Consults and advises business areas and IT management on how these opportunities could be used to improve the support of the organization and business area units. Maintains contacts with external industry groups, technology and business area planners and communicates trends and directions to management. Performs related duties as assigned or requested.

SKILL OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Advanced degree in Computer Science or related discipline, at least ten years experience in IT with a minimum of four years experience in managing projects, or the equivalent in education and work experience. Requires excellent planning, conceptual, consulting and communications skills, analytical ability, strong judgment and project management skills, and the ability to interact with senior business area and IT management staff.
