Description
The Sourcing Specialist position requires an individual with proven management talent, strong procurement/vendor management skills, excellent negotiation and vendor management skills, an ability to achieve results via collaboration, awareness of technology and related issues, a tolerance for ambiguity as the STS model evolves, and strong analytical/communication skills.

Responsibilities

. Responsibility for a given category of technology products and services / spends and sourcing activities. The relationships within each category and sub category are strategic, complex and involve interfacing with many business groups and senior executives, both in the vendor organizations and at JPMC
. Manage and lead major technology sourcing projects for specific technology spend categories. These projects are high risk, large cost, complex and involve interfacing with multiple business groups:
- Develop and implement IT commodity procurement strategies to achieve both one-time and annual reductions in spend while maintaining/improving customer service
- Manage, develop, qualify and review suppliers
- Create business plans to address technology spend under enterprise/out sourcing arrangements
- Syndicate plans to gain buy-in from LOB's and monitor policy/implementation of ideas
- Develop project methodologies, analytical frameworks, and project plans
- Direct and provide guidance to matrix sourcing team members
- Consistently demonstrate a high level of professionalism in behavior and performance interactions with client organizations, STS staff and other bank areas both inside and outside JPMC
- Transfer best practices relating to enterprise/outsourcing procurement arrangements across the entire IT spend base
. Negotiate in partnership with many constituents, for sourcing of specified technology categories ensuring business terms are effective and operable
. Work closely with designated product managers, LOB's, outside vendors and STS management to identify strategies that will deliver spend optimization in specified desktop technology categories.
. Ensure that contract life-cycles are managed effectively
. Support STS working with the Engineering Board on technology standards development and compliance
. Demonstrate motivation and initiative in assisting STS management with recruiting, training, business development and other on-going efforts
. Demonstrate professionalism in behavior and performance in interactions with client organizations, STS staff and other areas both inside and outside JPMC.
. Carry out administrative responsibilities effectively in managing projects, including performance management, training and development

. Proven track record in developing best in class results in technology product and service sourcing
. Strong vendor management/negotiation skills
. Demonstrated capability to solve complex problems
. Excellent qualitative and quantitative analysis capabilities
. Strong oral and written communication skills
. Strong entrepreneurial, interpersonal and team management skills
. MBA a plus
. Six Sigma Training, Green Belt a plus
. C.P.M or other equivalent sourcing management certification a plus
