Super Oracle DBA

Required Skills:

Fast growing industry changing firms seeks a Super Team Oriented Oracle DBA for DBA support for mission critical highly available database system
Datamodelling of OLTP and Data warehousing Systems.
Create SQL and PL/SQL scripts.
Deploy schema changes in different environments.
Work closely with development team to address any database issues.
Must be available for on-call 24x7 support.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
B.SC. in Computer Science or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of experience in Oracle database administration
Minimum 3 years of experience in Datamodelling of OLTP and Data Warehousing systems using ERD and/or UML
Minimum 3 years experience in SQL, PL/SQL and Shell Scripting.
Strong experience in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
Proficiency in troubleshooting application and database issues.
Experience in using version control systems such as SVN.
Experience in Business Application, Production Control and Change Management disciplines.
Familiarity with Web Application basic concepts.
Familiarity with Java is highly desirable.
Airline/Travel Booking Engine experience a big plus.
Start-up or Internet exposure valuable.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with management, staff and customers as well as demonstrate sound judgment and reasoning skills.
Strong ability to assess complex situations, set priorities and implement action plans.
Must have a business oriented approach and ability to proactively understand and manage end user/customer expectations.
Strong organization skills.
Must be able to work in a team environment.
Must be available for on-call 24x7 support.
