** This position is a Second Shift position**

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The Electronic Publishing (EP) Supervisor is responsible for the management and administration of one team of two or more associates within EP. The supervisor must maintain and improve client relations by ensuring that the client’s needs are met in a deadline-oriented environment while maintaining the highest of quality. The supervisor integrates the development of procedures and processes utilizing expertise in his/her area.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

*Consults with Marketing Managers, Communication Consultants, Production Consultants, Designers, Account Executives, Legal, Fund Reporting Group, Treasury Department, Traffic Coordinators and Department Managers. Acts as department representative in supporting projects from other departments. Manages inter- and intra-departmental relationships; assists EP manager in ensuring that complete support is provided to clients.
*Sets performance objectives with associates; conducts performance evaluations; counsels associates concerning daily job performance. Schedules and tracks vacation, absenteeism, and other staff requests. Coordinates all administrative documentation for team members; interviews and hires new associates.
*Facilitates cross training of associates for backup coverage of all areas within EP. Works with staff to document procedures, initiates training, and supports career development initiatives.
*Assists EP manager with special projects as needed. Acts as backup to EP manager in areas of staff relations, project management, and departmental planning.
*Streamlines existing and develops new EP processes to save the company time, resources, and money. Monitors and coordinates workflow of the team and redistributes and/or reschedules workload to make efficient use of employee time/availability. Monitors overtime usage and researches methods to control department expenses.

QUALIFICATIONS

*Bachelor’s degree with 5 years work experience in electronic publishing environment preferred
*Three years supervisory experience preferred
*Experience managing hourly associate at varying levels of expertise in a production environment
*Comprehensive knowledge of software and hardware used within the team
*Experience managing multiple projects with varied turnaround schedules
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills
*Excellent organizational skills
*Performs well under time-sensitive deadlines
*Customer service oriented
*College degree and 1 year of related work experience, or associate degree and 3 years related work experience, or
high school diploma/equivalent and 5 years related work experience
