Description
Supplier Quality Engineer To function as a technical liaison between purchasing, engineering, manufacturing and suppliers to resolve quality issues, implement and monitor advanced quality planning and provide technical support. Duties include Provide assistance in implementation and monitoring of advanced quality planning, assure supplier understanding of product and submission requirements, review and approve supplier quality plans, review supplier manufacturing processes and quality systems, Implement and monitor the part qualification and certification process with suppliers, provide technical support to customers, determine cause of supplier quality problems and implement effective and timely resolutions, improve quality performance of suppliers by providing technical assistance or other technical support as required. Must maintain documentation and files, review tool, fixture and part design, participate as member to product development teams And exchange information with internal and external workgroups and suppliers. General Qualifications: Proficiency in print reading and interpretation and part measurement, knowledge of geometric design and tolerance and gage design and function, knowledge of manufacturing and assembly plant processes, procedures, facilities and equipment, and knowledge of corporate supplier quality standards, policies and procedures. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, high level of analytical ability to assess and identify appropriate courses of action for definition and resolution of problems. Education : Minimum of 1 year of experience in manufacturing, quality or engineering. Knowledge of machining and stamping processes desired BS Degree in engineering or equivalent work experience.
