Specific Systems Engineering functions include:
. Provide service management for production and pre-production environments to ensure performance, availability, security and stability of multiple applications
. Complete scheduled work requests and ad hoc reporting
. Manage deployments (releases, hot fixes, Quick Fix Engineering [QFEs])
. Resolve service-interrupting incidents and data recovery. Manage and/or administer specialized services (IIS, OS, ISAPI, SQL, Vault)
. Carry out Initial Service Engineering investigations and diagnosis of problems
. Provide incident closure & ticket queue management
. Setup and configure new (never before instantiated) services in labs and data centers
. Manage batch and Publishing environments for the property
. Provide Configuration Management
. Build monitoring for application and environment level performance and throughput management
. Provide application and environment security management
. Routinely review incident types and volume and institute measures for improvements
. Harvest capacity management data for Service Program Managers
Automate routine, recurring, or large scale tasks
. Document known errors/fixes in Trouble Shooting Guides (TSGs) as formal requests for change' (RFCs)
. Be accountable for end-to-end system's integrity
. Work with Problem Engineering to provide operational requirements, problems and features of the next version of product
. Work with Problem Engineering in resolving severe service-interrupting incidents
. Provide and interpret monthly service reporting data

Qualifications include:
. 3+ years of experience supporting a W2K/W2k3 customer facing internet service
. 3+ years IIS5/6 experience in a website administrator's role
. 5+ years SQL experience in a production environment
. Strong problem solving, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
. Strong written/verbal communication skills are required
. Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking
. Working knowledge of performance monitoring, remote administration, client/server architecture, Web application management, internet technologies and network architecture
. Working knowledge of scripting languages, including VBS, Perl, C#, etc.df-tc
