Currently we are looking for system administrators for a 12 months contract with our client in South San Francisco

Job Title Systems Administrator
Duties Builds, configures and troubleshoots enterprise computing systems, such as application servers

" Supports complex production problems by providing direction, strategy and root cause. Identifies strategies and implement processes to prevent service disruption.
" Provide support to TrialWorks users, which includes resolving issues, running Ad Hoc queries and troubleshooting errors in the system.
" Support the application project team throughout project lifecycles.
" System administration of Clients internal systems; This includes installing, configuring, administering, and fine-tuning Windows operating systems and components for the various applications.
" Performs system environment refreshes, application copies, and applies support packages, software patches and fixes " Interface with vendor support, DBA and internal application support team to resolve system issues.
" Log issues and user requests into the issue tracking system " Assist in the testing patches, fixes, and upgrades as needed.

Experience:

" 2 years experience supporting clinical trial management systems or FDA regulated (GxP) systems is highly preferred
" 3 to 5 years experience supporting mission-critical production systems.
" Experience writing SQL queries in MS SQL and Oracle required.
" Working technical knowledge of Microsoft IIS and Microsoft SQL Server required
" Previous experience supporting Web based systems preferred
" Familiar with Web Services Concepts preferred
" Familiar with XML/XSD/WSDL Concepts preferred
" Understanding of Biotech or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing industry is a plus
" Able to work independently, respond to support requests, and diagnose and troubleshoot issues.
" Highly developed and effective written and verbal communication skills.
" Excellent customer service skills
" Proficiency in prioritization and multi-tasking to ensure that tasks are completed on time
" Effectively collaborates with business users and systems group
" Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
" Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
" Excellent attention to detail required - hands on attitude
" Must be self-starter with passion for continuous self-improvement

Education
" Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business, or related discipline required.
