Precision Resources, a division of the Trimarc Group Inc., is currently looking for a System Administrator/Developer for a Contract-to-Hire position in Mobile, AL.

System Administrator/Developer

Description:

• Develop new application programs and/or enhance existing programs according to specified business requirements.
• Maintain existing applications and support current technology.
• Formulate and define system scope and objectives, Perform Systems Analysis and Quality Assurance testing and make recommendations for improved functionality.
• Develop training materials to ensure adequate end-user understanding of the system changes and enhancements.
• Use of a variety of Web development languages is required.
• Provide day-to-day operational aspects of database administration support using SQL 2000 and 2005.
• Create and maintain synchronization between all classified and unclassified database systems.
  Must be able to configure and manage Windows XP workstations, Windows NT Server, Windows 2000 and Windows 2003 server.
• Should be familiar with the MS Office suite including MS Project, MS Access, and SQL Server environments.
  Performs as the Lead Technical Administrator of the Hummingbird DM systems.
• Acts as primary contact for the DM system operations and conducts system wide technical needs analysis. Researches, analyzes & evaluates existing systems infrastructure.
• Instructs and coordinates activities of other staff concerning the DM system.
• Populates/inputs data into the DM system which will require organizing, updating, and massaging the data that presently resides within our current non-Hummingbird DMS, in order to make a seamless transition & migration to the Hummingbird DM system.
• Trains & assists staff & other designated teams to input data directly via permissions granted.
• Assist in the development and enhancement of all GIS applications including: ARCGIS server, ARCIMS, and ARCSDE. Maintain existing GIS systems on both Classified and Unclassified networks.
• Must have solid technical skills and experience managing development of robust Client Server or distributed applications in support of the Hummingbird DM system.
• This may include customizations to the DM WebTop system, development of customized Web services and/or development of customized DM Extension modules.
• Candidate must be extremely motivated, have excellent writing skills as well as strong customer interface skills, and be willing to work in a deadline-driven environment.
• Responsibilities include customer-focused consulting and maintain up-to-date database content.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in writing, orally and through telephone contact.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data, problem solve, prioritize and organize to achieve stated goals.

Required Skills :

• Bachelors Degree required with a minimum of two (2) years of related experience.
• Candidate must be able to drive a POV.
• Candidate must be able to satisfactory complete a pre-employment substance abuse testing.
• Use Visual Studio.NET, ASP.NET, Javascript, HTML, SQL 2000, SQL 2005, and Crystal Reports.
• Functional knowledge of the Hummingbird DM system.
• WebServer and DM Extensions Custom development for:
  • Hummingbird DMS using Javascript and JAVA.
  • Manage multiple Websites using VB.NET and SQL server databases.
  • Some development using C# for ArcGIS Explorer customizations.
  • Knowledge of GIS systems including ARC EXPLORER, ARCGIS, ARCIMS and ARCSDE.
  • Demonstrated experience with database-Website interactivity.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain a clearance at the SECRET level.
