The Project:
Investor Reporting 2 (IR2) is a medium-scale (8-10 million records), high-performance transaction mortgage servicing system, which will be used to run the Home Affordable Modification Program announced by the administration. It implements a standardized, streamlined process to modify loans regardless of current holders (ie, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Private Label Security or Bank Portfolio). Its purpose is to shadow-service mortgages which have been modified under the program in order to prevent foreclosure. IR2 is being developed with proven technologies, including PL/SQL, ORACLE, Ab-Initio and Java following industry best practices for development.

The Team:
The team is called File Exchange (FLEX). The primary function of the File Exchange team is to enable secure and reliable file exchange between IR2 applications and their internal and external partners. The team uses Synchrony Gateway Interchange and Connect:Direct software to enable the file exchanges. In addition, the team defines and manages the Client standards for file exchange betweenClient internal applications.

The Position:
The successful candidate will engineer and implement managed file transfer solutions using products such as Synchrony Gateway Interchange and Connect:Direct on Unix as well as on IBM Mainframe platforms. The candidate will be required to integrate these products withClient infrastructure components to enable file exchanges between Client's internal applications as well as with external partners beyondClient's DMZ. The position is technical and hands on. The candidate will need to coordinate and communicate with network and application engineers to design solutions, configure and test the COTS products in use. The position also requires the candidate to be on pager duty as per a published schedule. In addition, the position offers the unique opportunity to participate in the definition of file transfer standards and procedures at the corporate level.

Responsibilities:
? Consult with internal and external technology groups to configure and maintain Synchrony and Connect:Direct on the Unix platform. Collaborate with these groups when necessary to troubleshoot issues.
? Plan, install, configure, troubleshoot, test, and monitor Synchrony and Connect:Direct software and its varying internal/external connection points
? Act as lead engineer to internal groups within Client to determine requirements, suggest a design, and implement recommendations
? Coordinate and Communicate with external customers during Customer Integration efforts
? Write functional requirements, configuration guide documents, test plan documents, and assist in the training and deployment of implemented solutions
? Provide On-call operational support (via pager). Analyze and provide problem resolution on complex technical issues. Identify potential improvements to increase the reliability, availability, supportability and performance of theClient applications and infrastructure.
? Mentor junior staff members on technical procedures and provide technical guidance.

Qualifications:
Must-Have Skills:
? B.S. in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience required
? 8 years of technical experience in maintaining and administering large data exchange systems
? Strong written, verbal, analytical and organizational skills
? UNIX skills (working with different shells, maintaining and creating scripts)
? Working experience with Connect:Direct (Unix and/or IBM Mainframe) or Synchrony Gateway Interchange (aka Cyclone Interchange)
? Experience with file transfer security and protocols such as AS2, Secure FTP, Kerberized FTP
? Ability to multi-task and provide expertise for multiple teams across concurrent project tasks

Nice to Have Skills:
? Good troubleshooting experience with Proxy servers, Web servers, load balancers, firewalls and other DMZ components
? Strong knowledge of Public Key Infrastructure
? Process oriented - capable of creating guidelines, policies and procedures in their area of work
