Description

No third party submittals US CITIZENS only Must be able to pass FBI level background check. Local candidates preferred Position Description: Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain a Microsoft Windows Active Directory Domain including schema updates and creation of GPO and security patching for a large Active Directory environment
  • Show experience working in a large production environment
  • Develop monitoring requirements for systems with Microsoft MOM or SCOM
  • Support cluster/disaster recovery and ensure continuous high availability of business-critical applications
  • Deploy highly available technologies such as replication, load balancing, geographic clustering
    Install and configure server hardware including operating system and additional software to configure for optimal use
  • Develop standard monitoring requirements and applying
  • Troubleshooting hardware and system level problems
  • Determine and build Virtual Server Host and Guest systems and appropriately size and configure for optimal use
  • Management of Windows based SQL and Oracle Database Servers including techniques to perform daily monitoring, backup and maintenance tasks
  • Create Scripting to interface with Active Directory and WMI for the purpose of interrogating and administering Active Directory and Servers
  • Design and describe new infrastructure technologies
  • Determine Storage requirements in order to create LUN and Zone configurations for Windows Servers

Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Installation and maintenance of high-availability Servers using Windows 2003 Server (32bit and/or 64bit) or Windows 2008 Server
  • Microsoft Windows 2003/2008 Active Directory support
  • Virtual Server Technology using Hypervisor and Microsoft Virtual Server, or VMWare.
  • Microsoft Windows Clustering Technology
  • High Availability Technologies
  • Windows Client/Server architecture including Application and Database Support
  • Windows Database Support for SQL and Oracle
  • Monitoring techniques to support Servers/Network/Desktops with MOM and/or SCOM
  • Storage solutions including SAN Enterprise Class to Modular including Fiber Channel and ISCSI options
  • Installation and support of server hardware for both blade and chassis to include processors, memory, controller cards, HBA (host based adapter) and network cards.
  • VB and Powershell Scripting

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • MCSE or MCP
  • Planning, Design and Support of Windows Active Directory Domains (Windows 2003 and/or 2008)
  • Planning, Design and Support of Storage Area Network Technologies
  • Support of large Windows Server Infrastructure - including Domain Controllers, and Servers used to support business applications (Web, Applications, Database)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Operations Manager and/or System Center Operations Manager
  • Knowledge of Symantec Netbackup or alternative backup application
  • Skill in building Servers to support high availability, such as clustered or load balanced servers.
  • Skill in building Servers using virtualization technologies including Microsoft Virtual Server and Hypervisor
  • Knowledge of SQL and/or Oracle server management - any experience with daily maintenance such as monitoring, backups, and other normal maintenance
  • Ability to document new infrastructure design standards, installation requirements and implementation plans
