Intermediate Systems Administrator

Description
Our client, provider of technology and marketing services for digital service providers and resellers, is currently looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Intermediate Systems Administrator with at least six years of experience in designing, administering and supporting enterprise environments. The candidate must be proactive and have the ability to show initiative and act independently to resolve problems, manage multiple priorities and follow through on projects/tasks to completion. The ideal candidate should also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Position Responsibilities
Architect and maintain Active-Active\Active-Passive Microsoft IIS, SQL 2005\2008 and Exchange Server cluster farms
Administer enterprise client\server infrastructure comprised of Windows Servers 2000, 2003, 2008 and XP client operating systems
Support a multi-forest\multi-sites Windows Server 2000\2003\2008 Active Directory infrastructure as well as Group Policies, DHCP, DNS, WINS, IIS, FTP, SFTP, RRAS, IAS, CA, WSUS, and RADIUS server
Oversee the VMware Enterprise ESX server infrastructure including patch management and monitoring
Responsible for deploying servers' patches and firmwares' upgrades
Implement and maintain centralized backup Strategy for the server and client infrastructure using VERITAS Backup Exec and NT Backup
Support the enterprise storage solution consisting of SAN and NAS technologies
Administer and support Microsoft Office SharePoint 2007
Manage the physical and logical Security of the enterprise server and client infrastructure
Monitor the server infrastructure using Microsoft System Center Operations and WhatsUp Gold IP Switch
Document and audit Client\Server infrastructure including hardware and software
Other duties as assigned

Requirements
Minimum six years of experience in designing, administering and supporting enterprise environments
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated problem-solving skills, high attention to detail and adherence to deadlines
Ability to oversee multiple projects at one time with strong time-management skills
Certification in the following areas - highly desirable: MCSE 2003 and/or 2008, MCSE: Messaging, VMware Certified Professional, A+, Network+, and Linux+
Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Computer Engineering is preferred
