Description
We are currently searching for an experienced system administrator for a full-time position in Germantown, MD.

Unfortunately we are unable to work on a corp-to-corp basis for this role.

You will will primarily work on installation, deployment, and support aspects in our clients Operations Technical Support team. You will be responsible for our clients Operations production environment specific to system, application and database administration, deployment, network and support. You will also be responsible for deploying future NOCC software and COTS releases and upgrades per the deployment schedule. Pager support, off hours and weekend support will be required.

Rates are negotiable, but we are unable to pay any relocation allowance.

Experience/Skills
To be considered you must have the following:

Understanding of UNIX, systems/server design, management and configuration aspects of UNIX equipment. Knowledge of Sun Enterprise series equipment and product family.
System administration and configuration skills for COTS products such as Veritas Volume Manager, BEA WebLogic and Oracle.
Performance analysis and tuning experience.
Systems administration background in the UNIX area, especially Solaris 8 onwards.
In depth knowledge of UNIX shell scripting.
Knowledge of Cisco routers and switches - Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) a plus.
Day to day system and application administration as well as project related tasks.
Experience in a High Availability production network operations center.
